In keeping with our philosophy of service, selection and value as well as a great experience, the iconic Gray Man of Pawleys Island was selected to represent the brand of the Gray Man Spirits stores. The Gray Man is certainly representative of Pawleys Island as well as the Grand Strand Area. This is important because we want Gray Man Spirits to be a “neighborhood” store where locals and tourists who identify with our home feel that Gray Man Spirits is part of their locale.

The word “Spirits” is in play for three reasons: Spirits is synonymous with 1) ghost, 2) liquor, and 3) mood. Looking at our logo we blend many features of the Grand Strand. The ghost, palmetto palm trees, bright sun, beach, and ocean waves. In addition you can see silhouettes of spirit bottles near the palm trees and in the ghost’s hand.

Other nuances to the logo are that you cannot tell whether the Gray Man is walking toward you or away and if you look closely you will see that the two palmetto palm tree trunks outline the shape of yet another bottle.
